It is never going to be Summer!
So yesterday, we thought that it was just going to be a quiet day with really nothing to do. It was raining, and with the rain came the thawing. So I thought that it would be a great time to go out and shovel away the snow and chip away at the ice. I started with the regular shovel....didn't even dent the thin layer of ice on the concrete. So I decided to get the metal shovel...you know, for gardening, I think they call it a spade; it is curved, or something. Anyways, got that out and it was working great, until I hit the 3 inches of water that started pooling in the middle of the sidewalk. So back to the regular BIGGER shovel to scoop out the water. This back and forth between shovel and spade lasted all the way to the back of the slab of concrete where the cars are parked. Then the real work kicked in. See I thought that since it was warm out, and the with the rain and all, that it was going to be a breeze to get the ice and snow out of the way....boy was I wrong. Once I got back there, Raul came out and got the ice pick. You see, we needed this ice pick, because there was still 3 inches of ice. What a friggin mess. I think that the neighbors are going to be mad at us because we chipped away at it, and threw it in the alley...ALL of it. Good ridance, at least it is off my property. So now I am done...but Raul's not, we still have to do the front. UGH! By now my hair is drenched, not sure if it is from sweat or rain, don't really care either. My neck is sore, because did I mention the this spade thingy is only like 3 feet long? Um, yeah, need to invest in more advanced winter tools. So off to the front we go. And like the back, the first part went smoothly. Then we got to the dreaded entry way from the street. Unlike the back with only 3 inches of ice underneath, we now have to deal with 5 inches of ice. Does this EVER stop? So we chizzled away and once we got to the curb, I thought that it was all smooth sailing from there. Nope. You see, the whole city was defrosting, and I swear that the entire cities worth of water was coming DOWN our street. Which resulted it coming into our nicely shoveled entry way, and creating a nice new pool of water...5 inches deep. I think that I should have just left the ice. So now Raul and I think that if we create a wall of snow around the pool, we called it our Great Wall of China, we could shovel out the water and keep it dry for all that come to visit. That didn't work either, so we gave up, came inside, and sat our butts on the couch. Mother nature has defeated us once again. 4 hours for nothing. Oh well, there is always tomorrow.

Happy Valentines Day!
So this morning I really was trying hard to think of a beautiful picture to put on a homemade card for Raul. The darn printer (or user) just wouldn't center the picture the way I wanted it to. So instead I figured that I would just put it on our new Blog for the world to see. And for those of you who truely know us, we are madly in love, and we really don't need a Holiday to remind us. I realize that this is another wedding photo, but it was the only day that I allowed anyone to take a picture of me without putting up a fight. So I will be using alot of pics from that great day!

We have Arrived!
So this is my first time blogging, and we will see how long I can take it, but I see how Lisa does this, so I think I can get the hang of it! I will try and get pictures on here regularly, and try to blog at least once a week! Hopefully I will get a little bit of help from Dulce with the up loading of pictures and everything.
